"Roads or just directions?" - this is our cab drivers' rhetorical question they ask driving you about the city.
Sometimes the roads can be just terrible.
I had an impression that they could only be safely conquered by local drivers who seem to know all the pot-holes. If you don't - use the cab services!
Even though the roads are repaired every year, they need repairs badly after each winter....
Be careful walking along the sidewalks at night, too!

I cannot describe any tourist trap for the present.
Maybe I do not know the city well enough.
There is at least one drawback: no city map on sale anywhere.
They say it was published, but became a bestseller at once...
Unique Suggestions: If you want to find a certain address, just tell the street name to any taxi driver and he is sure to help you.
Fun Alternatives: or ask any local: all people walking in the streets are locals for there are very few visitors there, to say nothing of foreigners.
Your visit (as a foreigner) should be an event for the entire city, if you introduce yourself and tell the locals where you are from... I am sure their first question will be, "What's brought you here?" Your answer will most likely be, "Internet"....

The city pond is located near the city park.
It was dedicated in 1968.
It was cleaned one day when we were there. They pumped out all water and cleaned the bottom.
There are going to install a cafe in the middle of it and lay a special waterproof film at its bottom.
Last time I went there I looked at the pond and saw it was ready again.
Next time I should have some beer at the central cafe in the middle of the pond.
I hope I will not fall over...
