Lots of locals get pure from this well on the outskirts of the stanitsa in Kondrashevskaya. The next picture shows an old lady - a babushka - who is famous for her pickles all over the stanitsa. She pickles lots of mushrooms and other vegetables herself. We decided to stop on our way and to buy some jars of mushroom pickles that turn out to be very tasty! A half liter jar costs 10 UAH ($2)! Since stanista is rich in Cossack culture, October 14 is observed as a big Cossacks holiday here. It is the Day of the Protecting Veil of the Most Holy Mother of God. The cathedral was founded on December 19, 1990 and was completed in 1999. It was sanctified by Archpriest Nickolay Makovetsky and other archpriests on may 22, 1999. The District Club in Lenin Square is the cultural hub of the entire district. There a lot of amateur groups there. The club organizes all amateur activities in this district that unites 18 villages. Lubo Cossack Songs Ensemble is one of the most famous amateur groups here. Leave a Comment

This Cossacks festival takes place every year on the last weekend of September. Amateur singers and dancers from Luhansk region, other regions of Ukraine, neighboring regions of Russia (Voronezh and Rostov), Byelarus and Transnistria (PMR) are among its participants, as well as folk lore artists from all over Luhansk region. The program begins on Saturday with village festivals that take place in all the eighteen villages of Stanichno-Luganskoye District. All the participants of the festival were invited to the Cossacks Glory museum in stanitsa. There is an exhibition of local handicrafts at the stadium entrance where the Sunday afternoon program takes place. The Sunday program starts with a concert of amateur song and dance groups. The audience burst into applause after each performance and shouted "Lyuba!", which means, "Great!" At 5 p.m there is a gala concert of all participants at the district stadium. The entrance fee is 10 UAH (~$2). The concert is followed by a huge fireworks display.Please take a look at some videos to have an idea.
