St. Virgin Mary Monument
Monument of St. Virgin Mary was founded in 1862. It seems to be very populat with local citizens who often stop near to pray or light candles.
Houses for railwaymen
These are houses for railwaymen. The buildings were built in 1909-1912. In most of the flats still live families of railwaymen.
It would have been interestin to see this church, built in 1363, but unfortunately it was closed due to some construction works on the church.

The castle hill
To get the best view of the city, it is worth climbing the caste hill. This is in the north east of the city and is in fact a park. It is fairly easy to navigate the way around.

This cathedral from the 14th century is in amazing shape, and has fabulous paintings and mosaics on the inside.
This big park with a pond and several paths even uphill is very nice if you want to get out of the center for a change. Bring your own drink and/or food as there is nothing on sale inside the park.
This monument is in the central park of the city. On weekends the traffic is cut off, so then it is very pleasant to be here.
Plenty for performances!
From outside it looks great and there are lots of performances. Tickets can be bought at certain hours right inside.
Zuchorowicz's Palace no.40
Zuchorowicz's baroque palace was built in 17th century and reconstructed in 18th century. That was the residency of the Prior of basilian monastery.
