At first sight Ternopil is very Soviet looking. But there are some nice old buildings in the centre to be seen. I really liked Ternopil and experienced it as a friendly clean city.
One guy approached us and asked us why we come to Ternopil and Ukraine at that. He reckoned that there was nothing to see.
If you want a pizza chain, then you will find Pizza Celentano in Ternopil too. There are of course other restaurants but not too many. We were just too full of meat and potatoes, so we went for pizza.
On the street "Stary Rinok" you will find an internet cafe. I was surprised that they only spoke Ukrainian there and no English but it work alright, although they had to help a couple of times when the keyboard only wanted to write in Cyrillic.
Favorite thing: The few architectural masterpieces of the former epochs that remained as rare diamonds, add to the beauty of the city.
