Before using the public transport in a particular town or city, ask locals how you must pay for that. I had a very unpleasant experience in Kyiv, where I was forced to pay a fee for the PAID trip on a bus. Coming to Ukraine, you could be forced to buy an insurance police, regardless of that you have bought in your home country before your journey. Ukrainians DO NOT ACCEPT any other insurance except their own, so do not spend your money twice on the same thing!

In many countries the taxi mafia is active,

If you drive by day be sure that he doesn't use the night tarif.

When you enter the country (as foreigner) you have to !Buy! a health insurance, even if you have a proper one valid over the whole world. Even if you bring a letter from your own health insurance which says it's valid all over the world.
