Favorite thing: Khortitsya island shows a lot of historical items (stone sculpture on the picture is made by the Scythians who inhbited the region in ancient times). To know more about Zaporizhzhia history one should visit the History Museum on the island.

Favorite thing: If you ask anyone who at least know about existence of such a place a s Zaporizhzhya about his/her associations with the city the answer will definitely be:
a) Khortitsya island;
b) Denproges (picture above);
c) Cossaks
It's true. The place is mainly associated with the above things and, for the citizens of ex-USSR countries there is one more - Zaporozhets car. But let's go back to history.
If you happen to visit Zaporizhzhya my advise is to visit Khortitsya island - a cradle of Zaporizhzhya Cossaks - the bravest warriors in medieval Europe.
