Indeed, its still hard to find some normal place to eat in Zaporizhzhya. As my boss was too caprious, I picked up that sushi bar, and had no regrets. Nice meal, normal prices, fine interior. Reccomend!

Ok why do they call the restaurant in Ukraine "Clear House", crazy westernization. If it was not for my relatives I probably would not give it a chance. It's right outside the city and it's a nice getaway for locals. You can either go to the main restaurant or rent a separate room.
So my relatives reserved us a room and made all the food orders ahead. When we walked in there was a beautiful table decorated with gorgeous food. And that was only the beginning! More and more courses kept coming. It was delicious and overwhelming. At times like this i wish I had a big stomach.
And the staff service was superb. Definitely made us feel like royalty.

I was highly pleased to discover such a classy Japanese restaurant in the middle of Zaporizhzhya. Not that Zaporizhzhya isn't a classy city, but this is a cut above everything else I've encountered in this part of Ukraine. Very slick and extensively decorated interior. Very attentive and friendly staff that attempted to try out their smattering of English with us. The food was quite tasty and fairly authentic, though the portions are small and some of the prices seemed unfairly high. Sushi was especially pricey and tiny, though other dishes, like the okonomiyaki, was quite delicious, larger, and fairly priced. Nice selection of wine available as well.
Favorite Dish: Okonomiyaki -- a Japanese "omlet" fried on a hot plate with veggies, meat, rice, and dried seaweed on top. Very tasty and filling.

There is a nice restaurant on the Khortytsaya island which serves traditional Ukrainian dishes. Forgot the restaurant's name, but it's on walking distance of the Cossack museum, and there are no other buildings in the area.

There is a selection of good restaurants in Zaporizhzhya. My favorites are: Irish Pub, Mr.Twister, National Club Zaporiz'ka Sich, Zeleniy Popugay (Green Parrot).
My strong advise - Slavutich beer
Favorite Dish: My advise - something of Ukrainian national dishes.
