Favorite thing: I'm sure that the village of Appledore must have many ghosts (and probably quite a few skeletons in various closets) but it also has its own VT ghost. If you click on the "Entire Appledore Travel Guide" you will see that there are only 2 members pages, this one and Skipper's. There are however quite a good selection of little tips by someone with no name and whose Appledore page doesn't actually exist. The tips are quite well written, with a light and amusing style, have links to their relevant external pages and look as if they once had photos. They just don't seem to have an owner!
I posted a query on this on the Tech Forum here and it seems to mystify our resident techie experts. Alucas reckons it is just "a bit of flotsam floating around in the server" but I reckon that Leics has hit the proverbial nail on the head - we've come to the conclusion that it is a ghostly goat - because all sort of strange things happen here on VT when goats are involved ;p
Fondest memory: Here's a screen capture of one of the tips:

Hmmmm...Interesting!
UPDATE: Unfortunately the ghost seems to be no more (Evaanna reckons I must have scared it off - it probably saw me online first thing in the morning!) but it did exist for a while as the screen capture shows.
