Favorite thing: Ashton has a lovely compact shopping area. Within a five-ten minutes walk you will find the Indoor Market, Outdoor Market, Indoor shopping arcades and pedestrianised streets. My guess is that whatever you want to buy, you will find it at one of the shops here. It is also very popular because it is easily accessible, very flat and there is ample car parking close by.
