 BluBluBlu Says:  Blackheath has the usual range of restaurants...Chinese, Indian, Thai, French, and the traditional Fish & Chips. One thing it does not have...is a McDonalds! McD's have tried for over 20 years to open up here, but every time the local council has turned them down! Residents...

 mollymoo0oo0 Says:  This place a great addition to the many bars in Blackheath.From the outside, it´s difficult to imagine the huge space that has been created inside... different zones for eating and drinking, including an upstairs mezzanine, and a backdrop of the huge steel containers of beer...

 BluBluBlu Says:  The Crown is an old fashioned pub with a great outdoor area to the north of the village...very friendly and great food at lunchtime. Its not a dressy place...unlike some of the other pubs in the village!

 BluBluBlu Says:  This pub is on the Heath...opposite another pond...less busy as you have to walk to it! More a locals pub...great food in the winter! 

The Prinny

 BluBluBlu Says:  Better known as the 'Princess of Wales' this is located close to the 'boating pool' and is really popular during the summer. Gets a mainly young crowd...which either drinks inside...or spills out onto the heath. 

The Railway

 BluBluBlu Says:  Over the past couple of years this place has been totally modernised. Lots of leather sofa's to relax on...a great bar menu...and a good range of beers. Busy at the weekends...but nice during the week. 

Transportation

 BluBluBlu Says:  Blackheath is easy to get to from central London...easiest way is to get an overground train from either Charing Cross or London Bridge Railway Stations.

 mollymoo0oo0 Says:  Blackheath is lucky to give host to one of London Farmers' Markets...There is fine food from local farms, often organic - fruits, vegetables etc. with good meats, great pies (especially the fruit ones!) and wonderful jams. And now the market is including plants etc...
