The Presbyterian Church

 LHOON Says:  This chapel with its missile-shaped tower is located near the pier. It is hardly used these days, since most islanders are Roman Catholic. 

The Shrine of Our Lady

 LHOON Says:  Located on Sanday near the bridge, this shrine invites for a moment of mediatation. 

St. Edwards Church

 LHOON Says:  This Roman Catholic Church impresses through its size. Now not used for worship anymore (this has been transferred to St Columba's Chapel), it is being converted to accomodation. 

The Prison Castle

 LHOON Says:  Located on the east of the island, not far from the pier, this ruin is known for the fact that the ruler of the castle used to lock up his wife in it.

 The islands of Canna and Sanday are quiet pearls of nature in the inner Hebrides. Owned by the National Trust for Scotland, the islands house a small community of 14 people who farm cattle and sheep.
