  • All You Can Eat Chinese

Limited choice in Chippenham and this is the preferred place for the gang from training to go to for food/drink.May not be one for the purists and I always feel **** the next day but this may just be the booze! Starters are better than main so get loads of these. You can't go back to starters after you've had a main course.

  • My Train Ticket...

This is my train ticket...which Patrick booked for me in order to secure a seat & which should be a pleasant journey for me to Chippenham.Little that I knew of the 'security alert'...which caused me to reach Chippenham 3 hours late !I had to cancell my 'off the beaten' excursions to Malmesbury & Castle Combe because of this...(sad).Otherwise, this...

  • Bus Ticket To Lacock Village...

Here, I present my bus ticket to Lacock !From Chippenham Bus Station, I had to wait for about 1 hour because there's not many buses after noon going to Lacock Village...I took the 3.10 pm bus...At the Chippenham Bus Station, go to Bay 7 & BUS NO. 234...The journey is only about 5 to 6 miles but I had to pay for 2 pounds, expensive isn't it ?

well there are shops in Chippenham-Dorothy perkins, New look, Woolworths, Littlewoods, Argos, cardshops, book shop, travel agents, estate agents, fruit and veg etc but my tip is to go to Bristol Cribbs causeway or Swindon designer outlet centre.

The parking in the centre of town in Chippenham is free for 1 hr although there is talk that they might start charging

I have not partaken in any of these off road activities, but if you are in or around Chippenham, Wiltshire, then the Castle Combe Race Circuit maybe just the thing for you.

There is a Skid Pan Course at a cost of £75.00.

    A 4WD Off road Course costing £99.00.

    and Kart Racing - adults (15+) £40.00. (Saturdays) Juniors (10 - 15 yrs) £30.00. (Sundays)

Of course there is also the other spectator sport of motor racing at the Castle Combe Race Circuit but you need to enquire when race meetings are held.

NB Castle Combe village is well worrh a visit if you are in the area.

You can purchase vouchers as gifts for any of the above courses

Lacock Abbey was converted into a house for Sir William Sharrington, who demolished the abbey church. Few other alterations were made to the monastic buildings themselves...Finally, I managed to locate the entrance to The Cloister...It was sort of hidden although sign-posted.
