As you leave the station there may be touts after your "one day travel card". Although there is some enforcement in these areas the touts are not put off. They are generally friendly and don't hassle you, but the do sell on the tickets (often for alcohol)
Unique Suggestions: Try to use an oyster card if possible, or better still, have your ticket ready before you get to the exit so you can go through the barriers and put the ticket in you pocket.
