East Leake Things to Do
There are many activites NOW in the village thanks to the new school thats just been built. This is one of them and is for the more older person ( but not necessraly! ) or the laid back. You will find the Bowling Green on your right just as you turn down Gotham Road
East Leake Shopping
This is the old post Office, it has just ben re-opened in a bigger premises just further down the road, but they are not allowed to sell this builing a it is a listed house/building. The family who run the Post Office still live above the old one.
The new one sells everything from cards, magazines, sweets, wrapping paper, ornaments and much more.
I have no specific shop here as there are too many to mention, we have many ranging from local supermarket to hardware store, I will give you a list of what you can find.

Card Shop, Library
Pine Shop, 2 Dentists
Post Office, Butchers

2 Hairdressers (probably more that I have lost track of ! ) But thats about all,

East Leake Local Customs
This is the local library and provides you with any information on past and present amongst the usual stuff you'd find in a library, there are computers so you can look up things and alot more to.
East Leake Off The Beaten Path
This is a very old photo taken in 1880. It shows you Gotham Road where now there are houses, my old school ( soon to be knocked down ) and the village park and bowling green. Looking at it myself I still can't picture it as it is now it is so weird !
This is one of the Cottages hidden away from where the weaving and lace was made.
Now converted into houses they still have the original feel about them and are worth a small fortune
