Or Grape Written as the locals call it! Nothing wrong with Brunel's pioneering steamship of course - all part of his grand scheme for travelling from London to New York entirely by his own Great Western enterprise. It looks magnificent moored in the Floating Harbour, it's just that it's not really worth the steep admission fee to get on board. It's considered cool to get married on board, apparently.
Enjoy looking at it from one of the water taxis Leave a Comment

The SS Great Britain, it is very, very expensive £6.50 per person to actually go on the ship. However, if you go to the other side of the river, you get a great view of the ship for nothing. Leave a Comment

by Aragina SS Great Britian and the Matthew. Location: Anchor Road, Bristol Ok I have also Listed this under Must see but to charge 6 pounds to go and see her is a rip off especially as you can walk over the bridge and see just as much. Leave a Comment

Explore further than just the centre which is very pretty but very touristy and over-priced. Leave a Comment
