Somehow, no matter what place I pick, the hubby always seem to find some kind of insane swimming related activity and this trip was no exception. On our way back from Euromeet in Macedonia, we stopped by London for a couple of nights and he found a swim race in Windsor in the Thames River. 2011 was the 2nd year for the event, there were 950m, 1.9km & 3.8km distances. Unfortunately the weather was quite chilly and they started the race early so all I got to see was the finish

Unfortunately the nearest lanes are in Maidenhead Megabowl.26 lanes and also 10 pool tables if you're waiting.Last time i got 5 strikes in 1 game amazing as i was a bit intoxicated.

Established in 1922 it has 7 courts available at Windsor Home Park,May to September.One of the only clubs still playing on grass.Unfortunately the web address is not working and that was the only contact point i could find.Best go down and see if anyone is there.

Obviously just a running club but based in Windsor Home Park and not Datchet as the name suggests.Great web site detailing routes which is being updated all the time giving you the distances etc.
Usually meet 19.00 Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Tally Ho has rides through the Great Park with no set routes so check them out.
