The old Wycombe bus station was dark, smelly and horrible. The new one is much nicer, with an enclosed waiting area with seating and departure monitors, where you do not get gassed by the diesel fumes. There is also a cafe.
Bus routes round the Wycombe area are colour-coded (red, green, orange, etc.)
At evenings and weekends the public can park in the Council Office staff car park (a right turn from Easton Street, by the Law Courts). This is a little-known car park and is never full. It is particularly convenient for Wycombe Swan, just across Queen Victoria Road.
The Swan car park itself is often full and takes ages to get out of.
It costs £1.50 in the evenings and from 60p an hour at weekends - £1 all day on Sundays.
Chiltern Railways run a good service to High Wycombe from London Marylebone (and vice versa, obviously). The journey takes about 40 minutes. Tickets are not that cheap (no railway service in the UK is) but Chiltern is generally regarded as one of the better railway companies.
