The arts picture house shows cult films from around the world. check out
For the American films there is a multi screen cinema in the Grafton Centre(big shopping centre on any town map)
For the latest Hollywood blockbusters, and other mainstream movies, head over to the Grafton Centre, where you'll find the Vue multiplex cinema (formerly the Warner-Village). It's got 8 screens, so you'll have a good choice of films - although popular films often sell out on their first weekend - get your ticket in advance for these.
For less mainstream movies (as well as some of the better mainstream films), the Cambridge Arts Picturehouse is conveniently located in the centre of town (above the Regal pub on Regent St), and it has 3 screens. It's a nice place to come in the evening - there is a bar, so you can avoid the crush of the pub downstairs if you want a drink before the film, and they sell Ben and Jerry's ice-cream alongside the popcorn!
You're unlikely to come to Cambridge to see a movie - but the Arts Picturehouse stages a film festival every year, so you just might. In a normal week, there's generally lots of different films on (not just one per screen per week), so if you like movies, it's worth checking the website or stopping by to pick up a printed programme.
There are two cinema centres in Cambridge.
The Arts Cinema - Market passage
The films range from Hollywood releases to foreign language films with subtitles.
Warner Cinema - The Grafton Centre
This has eight screens.
The Arts Theatre, Market Passage is one place to be in the night time
