My first visit to this chain of bars and pubs - and, well, just a completely forgettable one. I can't even remember what I had for dinner. The menu mostly consists of dishes you would expect in any pub like chicken fillet or burgers. People who have visited more restaurants of this chain may be familiar with it.
It was not bad at all, but unfortunately the place is completely lacking an individual atmosphere. Most Greene King Pubs have a higher recognition value and probably All Bar One can be best described as a higher class Wetherspoon's. I know that this rezension sounds quite negative, although this place is not really bad. However, most other alternatives in this area are better in price and / or style.
Designed to be neither pub, restaurant or wine bar, but rather a melange of all three, I still look upon the All Bar One chain as first and foremost a pub! Definitely child-free and supposedly 'youth' free (you're supposed to be over 21 to get in) they do offer a more peaceful haven than the usual cram packed smokey boozer type of british pub. Unless you go to a central London on at about 8pm!
Great food, great ale, lager and wine selection and a very pleasant environment. Did I get the job guys??
