Dojo Noodle Bar: Definitely Do Dojo!
I liked this restaurant so much that I went back after lunch for dinner! This is truly a Pan-Asian restaurant as it features food from China, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia.
I actually had a difficult time deciding what to order from among the 56 items on the menu, thus the return trip at night as I couldn't wait to eat here again.
The food is very delicious and, SURPRISE! ... NOT expensive! In fact there is nothing on the menu priced over 7 pounds, as if seven was possibly considered some kind of unlucky number.
Of course noodles are the reason for this restaurant's existence but they also serve several rice dishes as well as satays. There is something for everybody, which is a good thing as on the day I dined one could hear conversations in Cantonese, Japanese, and Indonesian.
The restaurant staff has a good sense of humor and there appears to be an ongoing Chinese noodle joke which mangles my name into "Noodfucius", which you can enjoy reading about on their website:
Favorite Dish: You must order this: "Ho Yo Beef Hor Fun" It's #44 on the menu and you can have it without spicy peppers and onions, like I did. Mmmmm, oh that is so good!
For side dishes, I got the Vietnamese spring rolls ("Goi Cuon"), Cochin Duck Rolls, and a king prawn kushiyaki skewer. Great stuff, but it all goes down so quickly!
I also had Pulau Kuay Teow, which is a Malaysian seafood noodle dish (again, request no spicy) as well as the Thai Supparot Pineapple Fried Rice so that I had something from all five regional cuisines.
Here are some other dishes I saw people behind my table eating and they looked attractive (the food, I mean):
Teriyaki Salmon Ramen
Sate Duck Mee
Sayur Nasi Goreng
Yasai Yaki-Udon (vegetarian)

Dojo Noodle Bar: Fast and furiously cheap, tasty Asian food!
If you're on a budget, absolutely starving, fed up of sarnies and dont want to wait ages for a meal to turn up go to Dojo's- its cheap (£6 average each meal) and the food comes out literally 3 mins after you've ordered.
The only downside is that its quite a small place so you might end up having to wait for about 10 mins for a table (no more than 15 mins) but the food is delicious- great rice and noodle dishes- portion sizes and immense (one plate of noodles for £5.50 can feed at least three peckish people) so what's not to love?
Dojo Noodle Bar: Avoid wait fpr table - eat out!
The above reviews are fair descriptions of the food: all there is to add is that in the summer, you can avoid the wait for a table by ordering takeout, and sitting by the river (which is adjacent to the restaurant). The area next to the restaurant is usually overrun in the summer evenings, but if you walk for 3 mins into the surrounding fields, or along the river, you can usually find tranquility. Alternatively, hire a punt and take your food on the punt. Very fun.
Dojo: Fabulous Food!
Fantastic food. Always fresh, realy value for money. Dojo stands out above the rest for its superb value. I go at least once a week. Place is pretty busy most of the time so it can be noisy but its all worthwhile.
Favorite Dish: Tuk Tuk Stir Fry Noodles because its delicious!
Wow wow wow!
Although the place is small its beautifully furnished. The staff are amazingly friendly and attentive.
Now the food - it's brilliant. From how they present and garnish their dishes to basically everything about their food, it's superb! This restaurant is frenetically busy but with this kind of food, it's no surprise. Blows away Wagamama anytime.
The noodles tasted delicious and the portion size is enough to fit an army!
And a restaurant playing Pink Floyd just about wraps it up for me - perfect. Love this place. A definite recommendation here.
Favorite Dish: Seafood Laksa - it's the real thing no BS here!
Dojo: Unmistakably high quality food
Unmistakably high quality food. Really refined despite serving simple noodles. Dojo makes their noodles taste like no other. I've tasted noodles throughout Asia, and Dojo are up there. Had their Seafood Laksa £9.05. Superb broth. Just like the one that I had in Singapore. My friends had the chargrilled beef pho - amazing value and yummy. Malay Prawn & Chicken mee. This broth was so authentic. When I return to Cambridge, Dojo is the restaurant.
