Probably not a place for a business meeting, but a good restaurant to dine out with friends. Yippee Noodle bar offers freshly cooked Asian food with a focus on noodles and soups. The main dish is Yippee Noodles with Yippee sauce (no, I am not kidding) which I really liked. The atmosphere is not the drawing card with wooden benches and long tables to be shared with other costumers. It is a busy atmosphere, comparable to the one of chains like wagamama. Prices are student-friendly and therefore most of the guests are students and young people. No frills, just freshly cooked food for a good price.
Yippee Noodle Bar is right in the centre of Cambridge so is perfect for popping in for dinner after a days shopping. Its clean, fast and informal.
Favorite Dish:
You MUST try the SPicy Squid, mango & cucumber salad, and Tempura prawns for starters (they are all delicious). My favourite main is China Town roast duck - wish i was eating it right now :)
Large portions, not too expensive, good for lunch. If you've been to Wagamama's, you'll be familiar with the modus operendi. The food isn't wonderful (I've not been to Dojo, some say its better), but its certainly not bad and the soups are perfect on a cold rainy day.
Favorite Dish:
I would go for the noodle soups, rather than the fried dishes.
