Great Budworth Things to Do
The village really is charming - so easy to miss the turning on the road on the way back to the M56 and towards Warrington What a mistake that would be - as hort stroll round this tiny village is a breath of fresh air and so nice to see it has retained its small village feel with no tourist trappings of cafes - there's hardly any room for them anyway!
There was so much detail on the chimneys too - loved the way the main street of the village was sort of higgle-de-piddegly with chimneys all at different heights.
Of course adjacent to the church is the usual village pub - the George and Dragon clothed in its colourful leaves. This historic inn was built in 1722 and outside you can see the area where the horses would have been tied up and watered. For human watering the pub has featured more than 500 guest beers from all over Britain in the last five years, and there's always an excellent selection to enjoy.
