Nantwich outdoor pool, is part of the leisure cetre complex.
Nantwich Outdoor Brine Pool was first opened to the public in 1934. The pool measures 30 metres long x 15 metres wide, with a water depth from 0.9 metres to 2.28 metres and with a total capacity of 841,000 litres. The largest of the Borough's Pools and probably the only inland Brine Pool left in the country.

Brine is pumped into the pool from an underground source near to the pool. The pool water temperature is maintained at 74°f and through solar gain is usually much warmer. Older regular customers like to reminisce on their school days when they claim it was only just above freezing point and they happily swam in it!

The new indoor facilities were built along side the existing Brine Pool and Nantwich Indoor Pool was officially opened 23rd February 1976. The building remains similar to its original look, however the sauna suite was closed and replaced in 1998 by a Planet Pulse Gym.

Opens 19th May for the summer season.
