Zanziba: A blast from the past!
Apparently this is the hub of night life in Stockton town centre, so I have been told. It looked outdated during the day.
An interesting turbaned gentleman sits atop the foyer and large writing of the joints sponsorship can be seen on the front.
An interesting building sandwiched between the high street shops, somehow just doesnt seem to fit in.
The Georgian Theatre: Rock Night
This old theatre now plays host to a rock night every Friday. If you're into heavy rock or nu-metal this is a good spot for this. But if that's not your thing then it's a good venue for live music of an idie/alternative persuasion. This unfortunately isn't a regular thing, but usually falls on a Thursday night. Best to check in a free magazine called The Crack, which you can pick up in the pub next door, The Courtyard., or check out their website. Personally I feel that this building is underused. It's a really old building and very interesting from the inside.
Dress Code: No specific dress code, but on Fridays people tend to be in the fashions that fit with the music.
