One thing that has got very much worse is the volume of traffic passing through the town -which is at the crossroads for all traffic using the Moor. It seemed to be particularly bad between about 3.30 and 5pm. Avoid it if you can!
We didn't and hit town just as everyone was on the move; I had opted to drive the last part of our journey so drew the short straw - my clutch control had a lot of work to do as we wound our way up the steeplyly climbing, narrow streets at less than 5mph..
This was on a Tuesday in the last week of September so not even high season.
Bodmin Town is now an alcohol free zone, and if you are caught consuming alcohol within the zone, you are liable to a fine of up to £500.00 (Five Hundered Pounds). At least this has helped to control the Larger Louts, although really, I have no idea if there ever were such louts!
