 | Gunwalloe General Tips | Tips 1 - 1 of 1 | | A couple of years ago, I would have rated this place as a "must see", even if it was just to go there to taste all the different foods that this place produces (basically, anything that they can make from natural produce). Unfortunately, they appear to have reduced the size of the shop, thereby reducing the different type of produce to taste. Paradoxically, this may have happened because the business has expanded to include a shop in St. Ives. If you are in the area, it is worth dropping in, especially if you are interested in herbs and the like.
Regardless of how I feel about the change to Halzephron, if you like herbs, naturally produced food and natural medicines, the people who run this place have produced a great website. Click on Halzephron to access it. Directiosn to find the farm:- From Helston, take the A3083 towards the Lizard. As you pass RNAS Culdrose on the left, look out for a right hand turn to Gunwalloe. Take this little road and follow it through the village. Towards the end of the village, heading to Church Cove, you will pass the famous Halzephron Inn on your left. At this point, look ahead of you up the road and you will see a white house standing alone on top of the cliff. This is Halzephron Farm. Leave a Comment
