The Newquay Fish Festival gives the town an opportunity to showcase the harbour, now in its 9th year (2011) took place on September 9-11. The festival is a unique mix of Newquay's vibrant holiday scene and the traditional fishing community of the old Cornish harbour. This year there was the usual practical cookery demonstrations by local chefs along with the beach festivities that include sand castle competitions, Punch & Judy, Rock Pool shows and organised games and events.
Annually, the event takes place in September as a follow on to the main holiday period

Sunday: 11:00 am to 6:30 pm
