The Wharfside Shopping Centre bills itself as "The shopping centre with the best views in the whole country" and they might just be right!
It's right alongside the harbour and a short spit from the railway station and the buses. The ground floor is devoted to the "Farmers Market" on Saturdays, with fresh and usually organic foods, including meat and fish, and all produced locally.
The first floor is a standard shopping mall, and offers most of what you can usually find there, with of course an emphasis on Cornwall. There's a good bookshop, a sports centre and a computer and video shop as well as standard supermarket and Littlewoods. Great views from here over Mounts Bay, both from the mall itself and from the various restaurants, and coffee bars. Take away pasties are a must!
