Keswick is a "solid" yet pretty town. Many of the buildings are of the local green slate, though many in the town centre are faced and whitewashed, especially the pubs.
In the centre of the town the main street runs downhill and the area below the Moot Hall (see later) is the market square. The market is only on a couple of days a week.
The main bulk of the shops & pubs are on either side of this street, with others down Lake Road, Main Street and Station Street.
It's worth taking a look around the town. The shops are quite interesting and the buildings quite pretty, and the area off Southey Street where most of the B&Bs are is pleasant too, with some very traditional Lakeland houses.
Enjoy Hope Park
Hope Park is a lovely space in Keswick to enjoy relaxing on a park bench. Maybe take in a game of crazy golf.
