Chatsworth Farm Shop: Stately Home - food shop

by suvanki

Ok, it's not cheap, but this shop offers quality and variety- it's won awards too!Open year round 1100 - 17.30hours1.5 miles from Chatsworth House, worth a detour to browse through the variety of foodstuffs on offer.Estate reared meats and fish, cheeses, breads, freshly picked vegetables, cakes, preserves, teas, coffes, wines are just a small selection. The weeks leading upto Christmas are very busy, when a heated marqeue is set up to cater for the extra goods and customers. Hampers are a speciality item.Next to the shop is a pleasant cafe and restaurant.Theres also a home catering service. where food cooked by Chatsworths chefs can be delivered to your door- now that's posh! For 'Quaint English ' gifts one of the many products that bear the Duchess of Devonshires name, such as jams, biscuits etc.organic estate reared meat.local cheeses etchand made chocolatespicnic fodder! Peak Village: Shopping Centre in the Peak District

by stevezero

A collection of shops and cafes in a courtyard setting. The village is built upon the site of an old railway, and the old station building has been incorporated into the design. It's the only cntre I know that backs on to a river where you can feed the ducks, and the views of the hils are also terrific.

Thorntons have a chain of shops around Derbyshire and indeed Britain, selling their unique range of chocolate products, made locally in Swanwick. Why chocolate of course! They are very well known in Derbyshire and beyond for their excellence as chocolatiers and maybe only the belgians can rival them.

MacArthur Glen: Designer Brands Outlet

by stevezero

MacArthur Glen Designer Outlet is described as in Mansfield, but is actually very near to South Normanton, Derbyshire.Ther are many weel known british High St stores with outlets selling goods at much reduced prices. Although not in the American league, there are still many bargains to be had, specially in clothes, books, shoes, furniture, household goods, and did I mention chocolate (Thorntons) Yum Yum
