This cathedral really impressed me from outside. I haven't been inside due to lack of time. As you can see the lawn in front of it is full of locals eating their lunches.
It was very hot when I walked around but I noticed that there are nice pubs with seating outside. It seems a good idea to stop for a drink.
1000 year old cathedral, surrounded by a green. Plenty of information on the net about this building.
The cathedral close is the green space that sorrounds the cathedral. It is very beautiful and a nice place to have a rest enjoying the view of the cathedral, the sunshine or a chat with a friend.
This is the tomb of Bishop Walter Bronescombe (1258-1280) who started the great rebuilding in the gothic style. His tomb acts as a divider between the Lady Chapel and the Chapel of Saint Gabriel.
Very nice town, great to have a look at all the buildings. And also great for shopping. At this picture you can see the cathedral, very nice.
