The South West Coastal Path at 630 miles long, is the longest national path in Britain.
Starting at Minehead in Somerset, following the coast south west to Cornwall & lands end. Then turning east along the south Cornish coast across Devon & Dorset, ending at Poole Harbour in Dorset. The footpath started life as a working path with coastguards patrolling on them on foot against smugglers.
The rolling hills and open spaces of Dorset lend themselves to sports such a paragliding. My husband has decided to take it up, although we live in Devon, Dorset is the nearest school we could find.
You can start of with the taster day which is £110.00, the Elementary Pilots course is £420.00 and takes between 4 and 8 days training, followed by the Club Pilot £420.00 which takes between 5 - 10 flying days to achieve.
The instrucor, Andy is very friendy & the atmosphere very relaxed, Derek had a great day & is planning to continue with his training.
