Brighton Cab by amapola66 Local buses are currently £1.70/£1.50/£1 a ride, £4.20 (from driver) for a one day saver (as many rides as you like), £3 in advance from shops and £2.80 from the website link below. Trains go all over from Brighton and Hove stations. Brighton to London Victoria (around £23) Gatwick Aiport (around £7 quid) and other sea-side resorts on the South Coast. (Beware, the train I just got back from Reading Berkshire, although a pleasant view incorporating castles, took forever and had no refreshments, take some sarnies and a drink). Trains in the UK are expensive. Travel after 9.30 am and before/after rush hour for a better price. Planes go to all over the the world from the huge nearby Gatwick airport and it's an easy train journey. Cab to airport around £35/£40 (2008). There are also airport buses from Poole Valley coach station. They go to Gatwick (I hr) and then onto Heathrow (2hrs) . These are not that much cheaper, but work out better if you have small people with you and definitely the best option for Heathrow. Boats go to France from nearby Newhaven and apparently, you can hire boats privately from Brighton Marina. Licenced cabs are licenced, very reliable and quick - (Hooray!) Tel : 01273 747474 Forget hiring a car, parking is tricky and you can easily walk, bus or cab it. Leave a Comment

You only have to find a bus stop and within minutes you will be sitting on a bus heading somewhere. There is plenty of signages showing where the buses are going, how long before the next one, and things like that. Buses are also dead cheap. You can get a Day rider for £2.60 which means that you can use the bus as much as you want for that amount which means you can get real value for money!! i once used it 5 times in one day!!! Single trips are £1.40 everywhere so... you dont have to worry if you dont have much change either cuz they drivers usually have plenty of it!! Leave a Comment

Located at the northern tip of Queens Road, Brighton Station is a superb Victorian architectural statement in cast iron and glass. originally built in 1840 and substantially extended in the years thereafter it is a wonderful example of how practical needs can be intertwined with aesthetic values. The roof alone provides you with plenty to stare at and get diverted by should your train be delayed. if that isn't enough to take your mind off the wait then the concourse has a W.H. Smith newsagent, coffee kiosk, cake and cookie vendors and a small food branch of Marks and Spencer. Given the shortage of parking spaces in Brighton, if you are coming into town from any distance away the train or bus is an excellent option. Regular train services run eastwards towards and beyond Hastings and Rye, westwards to Chichester, Southampton and even Bristol and Cardiff and northwards to London and beyond. For those based in London you'll find that trains run around every fifteen mins to and from Brighton, with journey times taking between an hour and ninety minutes. Once you arrive in the city you'll find that the main town centre is due south from the station exit with the beach being no more than 20 minutes walk away. For those wanting a ride into town there is either the taxi rank or the bus station immediately adjacent to the station. Buses taking you to Churchill Square (the main covered shopping centre) include the No. 6. Leave a Comment Theme: Train

Brighton beach carousel by HORSCHECK Brigthon isn't a big city, therefore the whole city and the seafront promenade are best explored on foot. You may discover a few hidden sights when wandering around. Even Brighton Marina is located only about half a mile east of the Palace Pier and can be reached in about 20 minutes. National Express bus by HORSCHECK The buses of National Express serve Brighton from London's Victoria Coach Station every hour. The trip takes about 2 hours. There are also regular direct links between Brighton and Gatwick Airport (30 mins) or Heathrow Airport (90 mins). Brighton's coach station "Pool Valley" is located opposite to the Palace Pier. Brighton station by HORSCHECK Brighton has excellent and frequent rail connections with London. The trip takes about 1 hour. Apart from that there are frequent train services along the coast to Brighton. Brighton's train station is located at the end of Queen Street about 1 km north of the seafront. Leave a Comment

by Gili_S The local transport of Brighton & Hove is easy to use, there are only buses here, no trams or underground but that is sufficient for the basic needs. Anyway, to most places around the centre you can just take a walk. Leave a Comment

by Gili_S The easiest ways to get to Brighton is by bus, at list in my case, from Heathrow I had a direct bus connection to downtown the city centre. The service and bus is the same if you fly to Gatwick as well. Leave a Comment

by Gili_S You can get easy to Brighton by train, just see that if you do fly to England, try to get to the southern side airports as Heathrow or Gatwick, both airports are not that far and have train stations. Leave a Comment
