If you find yourself in Brentwood it is important to know how to get out. The rail service into London is good with trains every 10 minutes. It takes about 40 minutes to get to Liverpool Street and around 30 minutes to Stratford where you can connect with the Central Line.
The commuters get charged a fortune for travelling during rush hour but if you travel after 9:30am it is quite reasonable. A travelcard costing £8.40 will get you into London and back again and allow you to use the tube and buses all day while in London.
