The Brentwood area has numerous golf courses, both public and private. At many of the private courses it is possible to pay and play without becoming a member.
The public course at Hartswood, shown in the picture, has been improved tremendously in recent years and is reputedly one of the best municipal courses in the country now. I have been playing it on and off for over 25 years.

Warley ski centre at Brentwood Park has quite a large artificial ski slope with nursery slope areas for beginners too. Tuition and courses are available throughout the year.
Equipment: Everything is available for hire.

The Old County Ground was formerly the home of Essex CCC and now Brentwood CC play there.
