Various - at the arches: Fried brekkie-on-sea
There is a collection of about half a dozen 'greasy spoons' on the seafront in Southend, which are colloquially known as 'the arches'.
A greasy spoon is a fairly basic restaurant which serves anything with chips, and they tend to specialise is good greasy, fatty fry-ups.
These cafes have outside seating and and awnings to keep off the bitter chilly wind that blows down the Thames Estuary - even in August.
Favorite Dish: There is something about having a heart-attack inducing meal after a night on the town, outside and with a sea view in front of you, that makes you quite invigorated and happy with life. Enjoy.
