I went on a dressage day on Friday, Sat. is cross country, and Sun. is stadium. Lots of mud and lots of shopping. I saw Bruce Davidson's dressage - he looks so old! They said in the notes that he is the most experienced rider at here Badminton. I walked part of the cross country, until it started to rain so hard that I couldn't see where I was going. Wished I'd gone last year (but alas we were away), and wished they hadn't cancelled it the first year we were here (foot and mouth).
International 3-Day-Events (CCIs) are graded and awarded stars according to level of difficulty. The more stars, the more difficult the event will be. Badminton is a **** , one of only 5 in the world. The others are Burghley (England), Kentucky (USA), Adelaide (Australia), and Luhmuhlen (Germany). The Olympics and World Championships are also CCI**** but Badminton is the oldest and most prestigious.
