Winchcombe Things to Do

  • Visit Sudeley Castle

Sudeley Castel is open to the public. The grounds are lovely to walk around in and there are many things to see such as a chapel, water features, out buildings, formal garden areas, and ruins. There is also a nice gift shop and a little cafe. Portions of the interior are open for visits and there are exhibits on display. One that was there when I...

  • Winchcombe Church

St Peter's, Winchcombe is another wool church, of which there are many in the Cotswolds. It was begun in the 1470's, and is particularly famous for it's gargoyles which are said to be portraits of locals of that time!

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

This is a lovely little cafe in the heart of Winchcombe. I don't drink tea or coffee, so can't comment, but they do a lovely hot chocolate. I had lunch here with my parents, and had their soup of the day, which was excellent (leek and potato that day if I remember correctly). There's a bewildering display of cakes on offer, which would make the strictest dieter melt! And I cannot praise the service highly enough, the staff were so friendly, and chatted to us happily about local events etc.
