THE SUN PUB: if you want spicy, emphasize it.
I popped into this pub the other day after jumping off the bus from Kingston. I had a set lunch of tom yum chicken and red chicken curry which set me back £8. It was fine but not as spicy as i desired. The menu was limited and most dishes are £6-8. I would come back again but make it clear that i like at Phet mak mak, very hot.
DESI FLAVA: BUFFET WEEKEND BREAKFAST and BIRYANI NIGHT
I did not actually try this place but i did go inside to inquire about the buffet and if i am pout late one night i will give it a shot. The restaurant was simple and the staff that i talked to seemed friendly enough.

THE REAL CHINA: stuff yourself
The Real China is worth a visit if you are real hungry. It has a Chinese buffet at lunchtime from £4 and evening buffet at £7. Not the best Chinese food (but pretty good) that i have eaten but you get your fill at a good price. There are about 30 different plates on offer including chips for those of us who are not so keen on rice!
Update-- Just ate at the restaurant again and it was excellent. Try the chicken curry and lemon chicken. Cauliflower and mushrooms were excellent and not overcooked. could do better on the deserts as tonight was just a few cakes and biscuits. There is also a well stocked bar inside.

SAIGON: Vietnamese and Peking cuisine
I have eaten here on previous trips but not on my present trip. However the food is delicious and if you go for the all--you-can-eat you will leave the restaurant extremely satisfied. Vietnamese, Pekingese and Thai meals are available here from this family run business, so you have value for money, good quality food and friendly staff, what more do you need? Enjoy the spices and flavours of the meal. There is also an a la carte menu and take-aways are available.
THE HONEYCOMBE: burger, chips and a pint
Today i popped in to the Honeycombe for a quick lunch of burger, fries and a pint of bitter which cost £4.99. Although nothing special it was filling and warmed me up on a cold day. I notice that they had kids meals for a £1 on Mondays and Tuesdays. The pub was part of a chain called Hungry Horse and showed live sports events and had a garden sitting area outside but i guess not too many people sit here in winter.
many restaurants: try indian
I just want to mention that if you cross the road from Hounslow West Station and turn to your right you will come across up to 10 Indian Restaurants including vegetarian ones. I have had take aways from a few of them and all have been excellent. There are also 2 or 3 Indian Sweet/cake shops too, but i am afraid too sweet for me!
the COACH and HORSES: try the curry special
I popped in here for a snack last night and ordered the curry special which includes a Cobra Beer for a total of £5 which turned out to be a good choice. i also noticed that they have rooms for rent but i think this may be a little noisy as some nights a week there is a disco or live band.
The original pub stood on the same site nearly 300 years ago and it appears business may have been good as it was the first pub out of London if you were heading to the west country.
Favorite Dish: curry
SUN ORIENTAL RESTAURANT: Excellent food
This restaurant was an old favourite of mine when i lived in the area and i am glad that it is still operating and serving excellent food with mains from £5-8. Well worth stopping by for a meal.
Favorite Dish: Chicken with cashew nuts cantonese style
The French Kitchen: A Great French Bistro!
I had a late lunch/early dinner at this lovely French Bistro restaurant. The restaurant offers a 'Prix Fixe Menu' from 12 noon to 6.00pm on most days.
Two courses cost 9.95 gbp and three courses cost 12.95 gbp. There was a nice choice of starters, main courses and desserts. The presentation of the dishes was impressive alongside the delicious food. The total cost was around 16 gbp including a drink plus 10% tip. I consider this good value for money especially in London.
The decor and ambiance is very good and you can able to dine inside. There is a food shop and small cafe attached to the restaurant. The restaurant and shop are opened all day from breakfast to supper.
I thoroughly enjoyed my meal there and will definitely return again in the not too distant future.
Favorite Dish: I chose the three courses menu where for starters I had soup of the day (tomato and pepper soup); for the main course I had Beef Hache with fried egg and fries; and for dessert I had a Pot au Chocolat.

I was pleased to see that this simple restaurant was still here offering kebabs and many english dishes too, all for a very reasonable price. Service is quick and the portions are generous.
