  • From Zurich to London it only takes you only a flight of one hour and a half. A comfortable way to get there. Getting to the airport, check-in, check-out, getting to the hotel etc. takes you longer than the flight itself. But no deal, we go there anyway.

  • We took a British Airways flight and thoroughly enjoyed it. We rode in the Club World section and the seats were excellent. The seats reclined flat and we had footrest. Each seat had a divider between seats.

    We were constantly being offered food and drinks. Great flight!

  • You can go there from Belgium or France by the Eurostar (but it can be expensive for non-students) and arrive in Waterloo station, or you can take benefit from the low-cost airlines like Ryanair, Easyjet or Bmibaby (I'd rather do this now, for it is much cheaper and it take less time, even though they always land in airports that are in the middle of nowhere...).

  • London's central airport Heathrow is located on the far western point of the Piccadilly line and it takes at least 30 minutes by tube to get to the centre.

    HEATHROW AIRPORT London is 16 miles (26 kilometres) west of central London. From each of Heathrow's terminals the easiest and cheapest way to get into London is to catch the Underground also known as the 'Tube'. Trains run frequently, with a journey time of roughly 50 to 60 minutes with a cost that is less than five GBP. There is also the new "Heathrow Express" train which runs to Paddington station in just 15 minutes, every 15 minutes. The cost is ten GBP and Paddington station is centrally located in London with good rail connections to the rest of the country as well as other parts of London. For the major airlines there are now check-in facilities for flights leaving London Heathrow. Taxis into London
    will cost anywhere between 25 GBP to 40 GBP, available from ranks in front of the terminal buildings. You need to be aware of the morning and evening rush hours which can slow down any taxi considerably and thus increase the cost. If you have any trouble with transportation, ask at one of the help desks signposted throughout the airport, they have all the information you will need at their finger tips.

    GATWICK AIRPORT London is 35 miles (56 kilometres) south of central London. There is an express train service from Gatwick airport to Victoria station that runs every 15 minutes, and costs 9.50 GBP standard single, or 15 GBP first class single. This service takes approximately 30 minutes. There are also non-express trains that take marginally longer, but cost slightly less at 7.50GBP standard fare and 11.30 GBP first class. Depending upon the time of day this service can take anywhere between 30 to 45 minutes. There are a large number of different bus services that run into central London, which leave Gatwick's central coach station in the south terminal. It is not advisable to catch taxis from Gatwick as the distance is too great.

    That is all just in Economy. If you want to fly premium economy or upper class you get all that and more goodies.

    Premium Economy:

    You get checked in faster, the seats are bigger, you get more gree goodies.

    Upper Class:

    º You get a suite inside the plane where you have your own sleeping area, dinning area, and work area(all seperate).

    º Bar

    º You get your own private driver to pick you up, and drop you off to and from the airport

    º Massage's

    Virgin Atlantic has the Best Service Available

  • Nowdays there are some interesting offers from Iceland Air for flying from UK airports to Iceland. Such as you can fly from London to Keflavik Int'l (KEF) by paying 164 GBP return including taxes. These are special non-refundable restricted fares.
