A few important things
The best shoes to walk around in London would be soft, well-padded trainers that won't give you blisters. I wouldn't recommend sandals!

I recommend you have an umbrella or some kind of water-protective clothing, no matter what time of the year as it can rain at any moment. I remember in 2004 the first fourteen days of July we had rain every single day! In JULY!

  • The picture below illustrates the attire u should be wearing throughout most times of the year. It stays cold still in the summer most times!

Films are expensive in UK but cheap to develop. A roll of 36s cost about 4quid and to develop it is about 3quid if you are lucky enough! Some places gives you a free roll if you do developing.

    The Rain
The truth is it does actually rain a lot here in the UK so an umbrella / waterproof is essential! But the bad weather does make you appreciate the sunshine so much more!!

    Pack an umbrella!!!!!!
The weath can change from blue sky (well, no, the sky is NEVER totally blue in England) to pouring rain. Don't forget to bring your umbrella with you whenever you go out. And don't forget to have a pair of sturdy, waterproof walking boots with ankle support to avoid blisters when you walk for a long time.

And try to buy an adaptator (English plugs are not like the continental ones)

    Good walking shoes or repent!
To walk the famous Golden Mile, you'll need shoes, and comfortable ones at that. And you'll see that you're not the only one walking in these streets.

    Raingear
Traveling light means editing out a lot of items. 1 of the things I don't pack (but often need) are umbrellas. They are easy to buy as you need them over there and it also means you can get a full size one instead of one of those tiny things that don't work very well any way. What I do is if it rains I pick up an umbrella along the way and then before I catch my next flight I either give it to the hotel to pass on to fellow travelers or offer it to another tourist on my way to the airport.
