Bertorelli, St. Martin's Lane, London

Good eating need not be expensive in the West End if you look carefully and Bertorellis in St Martins Lane was a very good find.
Standard Italian food with a good menu and friendly and attentive Italian staff. The food came reasonably quickly after ordering despite our visit been on a busy Saturday just before Christmas. The drinks were brought straight away and the waiter took time to tell us how to pronounce the dishes we ordered in Italian which was a nice touch.
The restaurant is clean and although the tables are a little close together there is a pleasant atmosphere when dining here and I would like to sample some of their other London restaurants.
The toilets were clean and well maintained and I cannot fault this restaurant. Unfortunately disabled access would be limited and there is no other way down to the toilets other than a long flight of stairs.
As I passed in late March 2012 it was closed for refurbishment.

Favorite Dish: We only had pizzas but they were large and full of taste although the edges were over cooked and slightly burnt.
