The Blueprint is an interesting choice. It’s located at the end of Shad Thames, an old cobblestoned area overlooking Tower Bridge right on the river. The views are excellent and all the tables have small blue binoculars so you can study some of the features of Tower Bridge or have a closer look at boats as they sail by. I had a table just in from the window and sat on a nice sofa. A very relaxing environment. Head Chef, Martyn Moody, and his team do make some very good food. I am glad I enjoyed a meal here, but the portions are a little too French like for my sort of appetite. I gorged on the very delicious fresh assorted fresh breads. Everything tasted fantastic. The service was fun and friendly. The views awesome on a very sunny evening. All in all, a very nice restaurant.

    Monday - Saturday: 12.00pm - 2.45pm, Sunday: 12.00pm - 4.00pm
    Monday - Saturday: 6.00pm - 10.45pm

    Favorite Dish:

I ordered from the daily Market Menu:
Lunch: Two courses 15.00 Three courses 20.00
Dinner: Two courses 18.00 Three courses 23.00

    • Ham hock terrine, spiced pineapple, sourdough toast
    - Lacked a lot of taste, overpowered by the bread
    • Herons farm chicken, smoked leeks, potato fondants
    - Fell off the bone, delicious, small portion
    • British cheese selection, Carr’s biscuits (supplement 2.50)
    - Perfection

Bleuprint café: The best view of London Thames and tower bridge

Blueprint Café restaurant located in London’s Design Museum offers spectacular views of the London skyline from Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and the Swiss Re building in the West, sweeping across and along the Thames to Canary Wharf in the East. In fact, the Blueprint Café provides each table with a pair of binoculars to get a closer look at the view – or spy on the warehouse flats opposite. As you would expect of a restaurant in a museum devoted to design, aesthetics are important here and every detail is attended to, from the stylish seating to the well-designed cutlery and place settings. The dining room at the Blueprint Café riverside restaurant is light, simple and unfussy and its interior provides an ideal backdrop for Head Chef, Mark Jarvis’s modern & innovative cooking. Come see for yourself.

Blueprint Cafe: Fantastic view of Tower Bridge

This restaurant is quite expensive, but we were able to get a fantastic meal deal from Lastminute

The setting is perfect. Is is on top of the Design Museum at Butler Wharf, right on the river. The restaurant has enormous floor-to-ceiling windows allowing breathtaking views of the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and the "Gherkin", as well as the river itself.

As it was a special deal, the food was a set menu only, but delicious. Being on top of a design museum the dishes were, naturally, beautifully presented! It's a fushion of different influences, and very fresh.

Favorite Dish: I had the beetroot salad as a starter, the roast mutton, covered in mustard sauce and breadcrumbs (so yummy! and so tender!)

That's us just outside the restaurant on the river That's us - having just enjoyed the yummy food
