Brick Lane: Take a stroll down Brick Lane

  • Brick Lane and the surrounding area is a major hub for Middle Easterners in London. The street is an easy walk from "The City", London's financial center, and is lined with Indian restaruants. If variety is what you're looking for, Brick Lane makes a great stroll.

  • Brick Lane specialises in Bangladeshi cuisine which I'm not really that keen on but nonetheless I've been 3 times and have always been a bit disappointed. Chances are you're not as picky as me, food is OK prices about right for the location. Pick of the bunch is probably Cafe Naz.

  • Very decent restaurant. Friendly service. 25% discount on food. I would definately go again.

I had the Reshmi Kebab, (A round shaped minced lamb coated with butter with egg omelette top) for starter followed by the Chicken Tikka Pathia, along with sharing some mushroom rice, half a garlic nan, onion bhaji and a sag aloo.

Brick Lane: A Fine Brick Lane Curry House

  • A fine curry house in Brick Lane. Really friendly staff and delicious food. The place looks small but has four floors and so could easily cope with our party of 13 which just turned up at the door without reservations. I think the deal was a free pint of Kingfisher each!

Popadums were fresh and crunchy and the lime pickle was excellently tangy.

I went for the one of the house specials a Chicken Jalfrazi.

Excellent value as well at around £15 each which included starters main and a few drinks.

    I’ll be back

There are lots and lots of curry houses along Brick Lane, some good and some bad but you will get the opportunity to barter, but beware, they will rip you off if they think they can get away with it i.e. if you are drunk

If you are in the mood for Indian & Bangladeshi food, head to Brick Lane. Just walking down the street is a treat for your nose. You will walk past countless restaurants, each one with someone trying to pull you in for dinner.

I've nearly been to every single Bengali curry house on Brick Lane, and Moonlight is my favourite.

Brick Lane customers are encouraged to barter with restaurant waiters before they go in to eat... do this here and you'll get some incredible deals.

The service is swift and friendly, and the quality of the food is excellent. The restaurant is quite small, so be prepared to get up close with other tables. Always good for a bit of gossip.

    Highly recommended.

Murghi Methi Massala - beautiful juicy curried lamb with an egg and special rice.

I love the restaurants on Brick Lane, in East London. There are so many of them, and the food is ususally great and well priced. It's a nice area to visit, not just for dinner!
