A nice little restaurant/cafe. They serve nice turkish coffees and cakes. They also have sheesha, smoke pipes if you're into that?

A selection of arabic / indian pop music and middle eastern harem decor make this far apart from the local London restaurants. If you feel like a lie down thats no problem as they aim to serve!
Note: there is a cafe area and a seperate restaurant area. The staff are very friendly.

Favorite Dish: Cheese cake and turkish coffee.

Opening times: Sunday -Thursday, 10 am -12 Midnight ; Friday and Saturday, 10 am - 1 am

Service Type: halal meat, no alcohol

shisha top in Dar Marrakesh, a

it offers a variety of moroccan dishes, dessert and shisha flavors.
but the most important is the bellydance show, it takes place on fridays and saturdays, starting at 9:30pm
it's divided into 2 sections, one for dinner and the other is for shisha and drink only. the dancer is in the dinner section;^) However, for the last three months, the bellydancing show has stopped for some reason...i still have a hope to see it again though.

music is arabic: egyptian, moroccan, algerian, lebanese and khaleeji (Gulf) and it all makes me dance:D
people there are easygoing and spontaneous, just sit anywhere and here you find yourself talking and having a nice chat.
once i was dancing lebanese dabke along with others and was picking the wrong steps so i asked a lady next to me how to do it, and... 'i donno either, it's fun, just follow' she said, lol

note: halal meat served, no alcohol but believe me the atmosphere feels like already drunk, lol

also it's highly recommended to book in advance if you're likely to show up after 9pm. Usually there'are long queues to get in.
    Holding deposit: £50, refundable
    Opening Hours: 10am-12 midnight
    Average price per person: £10-25.

Favorite Dish: menu is moroccan so i am not familiar with everything!
but my favorite dish is vegetarian cous cous and homous
my favorite shisha flavor is mint or apple...tho i no longer smoke as it really hurt me last time, i'd stop:s
you can choose up tp 3 dishes for £7 only from a list menu
shisha is for £12 and you can share it with others.

The glow of the Laterns at Dar Marrakesh

This in my eyes is one of the best restaurants in London. Not only because of the great food but the staff here are great always friendly and patient. The food is not too expensive especially for a place based in the heart of the west end and it's a great place to meet up with people as it's so easy to get to. The food is always good, and the shisha (argileh) is the best in london. There are two parts to this restaurant through the left door it's an older crowd and more a restuarant, on the right its a younger more teenage crowd and more of a bar that serves food as well... both sides serve shisha, the restaurant part is always a good atmosphere though as a lot of people get up and dance to the arabic music that is played. The bellydancer that frequents here is THE best looking belly dancer you'll find anywhere, and her dancing is better than just good!

The atmosphere in the place is great, the decoration is beautiful with all the Lanterns giving a subtle glow of coloured lights to all the people sitting/ eating/ dancing. The restuarant can be as intimate as you want it to be, at the same time it's one of the only places in London that's acceptable to start talking to the people on the adjacent tables.

The only bad point about this place is that it can get very busy but to reserve you need to put a deposit down of £10 per person... however this is refunded when you get the Bill. When booking make sure you let them know if you want a place in the restuarant or the bar!

They do not have an alcohol licence so you can't get alcohol here, but that just adds to the great atmosphere no drunken idiots ruining the night for everyone else

Favorite Dish: definately the lamb tagine... washed down with a mixed fruit drink followed by an apply shisha... ahhh heaven
