Fifteen: Thank you Jamie!
This is the restaurant where Jamie Oliver gives training and a second chance to young people. There is a the trattoria upstairs and the restaurant downstairs. We had originally booked in the Trattoria, but needed to change our date and were shifted to the restaurant. After walking through the former on the way to the latter, we were happy that we were downstairs. The Trattoria is NOISY.
One thing I really enjoyed is that the wait staff were quite friendly and helpful and not pretentious. I only took pictures of our desserts as it just didn't seem to be a place to whip out your camera.
EVERYTHING was wonderful. Perfectly prepared and delicious. It was not inexpensive, but seldom has an expensive meal been worth every pence.
It is basically Italian with a modern twist.
Favorite Dish: Any of the fish, especially the salmon.
Fifteen: The Naked Chef was nowhere to be seen
The story of the restaurant has been shown in a documentary and is captured in a book too. The restauarant is a part of the Fifteen Foundation; and there are also restaurants in Amsterdam, Cornwall and Melbourne.
It was a busy pre Christmas Thursday evening when we visited - the service was excellent and the the food was as good as could be hoped for especially as many of thoise in our group have some involvement with food services at work.
Favorite Dish: During the visit, I enjoyed - Pappardelle with Elwy Valley Lamb Raju finished with parmigiano.
Orange and ameretto cheesecake with mulled wine pears
Warm Panettone with brandy sauce (lots of brandy, and little sauce in the opinion of my tastebuds)
Then finally a very nice double espresso

Took my business associates to dinner before Christmas for a nice night out to thank them for their hard work. We were a bit late due to traffic but they seated us immediately. Service was good but a bit slow on the drinks. The starter was very nice...olives and salami. The salad and first course was amazing. So delicious. The main course was a bit mysterious and didn't look appealing, so skipped it. Dessert was very good. The food was good and nicely presented. I think I just choose the wrong main dish as my colleagues really enjoyed their dishes. Would definitely go back.
Fifteen: Jamie Oliver's kitchen
The purpose of Fifteen is to inspire disadvataged young people to believe that they can create for themselves a career in the restaurant business. We have had 37 young people graduate and many of them are now working full time in some of the world's best restaurants.
It is now four years since Channel Four's show, 'Jamie's Kitchen' followed the trials and tribulations of Jamie's attempts to open a restaurant and create chances for young people. It has been 48 months of tremendous ups and downs. We are now supporting our fourth group of young people - all of them unemployed when we recruited them, many of them homeless or in care, others living with learning difficulties.
All profits from Fifteen go to the Fifteen Foundation (the charity formerly known as Cheeky Chops), to provide these young people with the working environment in which to expand their knowledge and practical experience.
Fifteen (Jamie Oliver): Well worth a visit!
We visited the Tratoria section of the restaurant (downstairs) and were very impressed. The food is absolutely delicious, the service was excellent and the prices very reasonable. They change the menu regularly, but the style is Italian.
Favorite Dish: For entree we had the antipasto which was really good. For the main course I had the duck with pears, roasted vegies and orange / balsamic dressing. It was cooked perfectly and very very delicious! For dessert I had the orange panacotta, which melts in your mouth - highly recommended!

In Jamie Olivers restaurant you can get very delicious food. It?s not that expensive and especially if you go there for lunch.
