Floridita: Among the best in London

We found this unique ?Restaurant ? Bar? rather by co?ncidence, strolling around in the SOHO area.
In most restaurants all that counts is the quality of the food and the level of service.
At other places all is about the experience.
Floridita definitely fall into the second category. Inside this dark basement restaurant you'll find London?s greatest tribute to Havana style and culture. Floridita is a place to indulge the senses. The experience starts with the cocktails ? followed by delicious Central American meals (well flavoured) and South American wines. (Chili)
Live band ? cuban music ? upraises the atmosphere
And than finally ? after some salsa dancing ? early morning, driving back to the Thistle Tower hotel by cab, please note that the subway clw)oses around midnight.
To be short: we had a great time ? and a hole in the wallet.

Favorite Dish: Picanha ? roasted meat ? mixed salad
    Sea Bass ? mixed Salad
Bottle Still Water ? Havana Anejo ? Chilcas Chardonnay ? Moroc Mint thee
Several Havana Anejo with Diet coke ? Cointreau

Floridita: Wonderful Atmosphere and food to die for!

Floridita provides a unique opportunity to experience the exciting and vibrant essence of Cuba's rich culture and passion, right in the cosmopolitan heart of London. A unique mix of a classic Cuban bar and a vibrant and contemporary restaurant, serving a magnificent combination of Cuban and Latin American cuisine.

I loved it because of the laid back but yet at the same time vibrant atmosphere. Decor is beautiful and you can watch a live band and dancing whilst you eat in comfort.

Favorite Dish: For a Starter my favourite is Stuffed piquillo peppers, soft cheese & anchovies Hot sauce & shaved Parmesan. The tastes combine were simply mouthwatering and leave you wanting more and more and more!

For the mainmy favourite is Sea Bass with mussels. I cannot remember what sauce the mussels had been in but it was divine!

They also have great cocktails... try the planters Punch!

Dining Area A Different Angle! Mmmmm.... The Drinks!
