This is a halal restaurant serving most Malaysian favourite foods and drinks. It is open Mon-Sat from 12pm-11pm while operating hours on Sundays is between 12pm-10pm. A cosy place to dine in at anytime of the day with the view of the Pall Mall street and a glance of the famous Trafalgar Square. Good place to entertain friends and also a home away from home for many Malaysians/South-east Asians. There are great improvements on the taste department compared to my first visit back in July 2008 when they were just open for business. The Nasi Goreng particularly is good and Teh Tarik (milky tea) is authentically Malaysian. Look out for their £5.00 special between 2 pm to 7 pm Monday - Friday.
Favorite Dish: For diners new to the Malaysian experience here is a guide provided by the restaurant website:
Satay – a popular Malaysian dish of marinated meat char grilled on a skewer and served with homemade peanut sauce, onion and cucumber.
Roti Canai – Crispy flat bread
Rendang – Slow cooked meat with Malaysian Spices
Nasi – Rice dish (popular options are Nasi Goreng, Nasi Lemak and Nasi Ayam)
Mee – Noodle dish (popular options are Mee Goreng, Mee Bandung and Mee Kari)
Teh Tarik – popular sweet tea
As for my own experience, Chicken and Beef Satay is worth a try. Don't miss the Teh Tarik (milky tea), Nasi Goreng (fried rice) and Beef Rendang (spicy beef dish) too.
