It was 10am on a Sunday in the suburbs and we thought the only place we’d be able to eat at would be McDonalds. So it was great to find this Italian café dishing up full English breakfasts and delicious coffee. Even at that early hour on Sunday it had a buzzing atmosphere and you could tell it was popular with the local Italian community.
They have a more upmarket branch on Covent Garden, with open air dining in warm weather. They also have a coffee shop in the Piazza of the Covent Garden market hall.
Favorite Dish: Their full English breakfast is a huge plateful of bacon, eggs, tomatoes, chips, beans and toast. They do different variations, all for £3.80 (prices as at, er, 2002 methinks).
The lovely lattes from their Covent Garden coffee shop were £1.65 (in March 2004).
