The Rainforest Cafe: Great for Kids & Adults Alike!

Surroundings of this restaurant are as if you were dining in the Rainforest! (as the name suggests) There are huge plants, trees and waterfalls all around you. Lighting here is very low and they have huge stuffed animals like gorilas, tigers and monkey's hanging out of the ceilings and built into caves in the walls beside the dinig tables which all move and make noises.

Food here is your standard Hard Rock type of food - Fajitas, Steaks, Chicken Wings, Ribs, Nacho's etc.... but in saying that we all like a bit of that from time to time and there's something on the menue for everyone. They also have a secial kids menu which is great and they are given colours so they can colour it after they have ordered.

Desserts here are yummy too! Hot choc fudge cake....huge ice creams.....banoffee pie etc etc!

Favorite Dish: The Fajitas are excellent - Juicy out mmmmm.

A great place to take kids and big kids too ! The restaurant is decorated to look like a real rainforest. You are surrounded by trees, vines and jungle animals which move and make noises. The ceiling is a canopy of leaves and snakes hang down. There are various sound effects like thunderstorms and the gorillas. The menu is mainly burgers, steaks and sandwiches. Fizzy drinks are bottomless. You must check out the loos, different! Service is not great though and there is usually a queue.

I'm sure there are other Rainforest Cafes around the world that are the same but this was fun.
As the name suggest the cafe is a rainforest complete with trees and moving animals.
While you are eating there will suddenly be a crash of thunder and a flash of lightening, (what will move next)

Favorite Dish: lots to chose from.

Ok, I know this is a cheesy American chain, but I don't go to many restaurants in London (I'm a student i.e. no money). But this restaurant is really fun, decorated like a jungle. You get to eat in the midst of fake animals, and enjoy the occasional thunderstorm. This place is just fun :-)

Favorite Dish: Cheese bread pizza-type thing

This is a great place - so unusual. Like its name, the theme of this restaurant is a rainforest. You sit at wooden tables with fake animals all around you. They even go as far as flickering the lights and having loud thunder storms while you're eating!! It's great :)

Favorite Dish: Well, everything sounded nice but I opted the Rainforest Burger and Chips. Yummy!! Really big servings too - far too much!

The Rainforest Cafe: A Wild Place to Eat & Shop!

by spidermiss Updated Jun 26, 2011

This International Restaurant has a Jungle/Rainforest Theme. I have been to this restaurant (as well as in the USA, Canada and Paris) a number of time over the years and I've always enjoyed dining there even if I consider it an expensive experience. Ideal for a special occasion.

The restaurant is divided into different seating sections such as the Forest Floor, Butterfly Room, Elephants, Aquarium and Gorillas areas. Every so often you hear mutli-sensory themes such as noises from the 'animals' and 'birds' and light and noise representing lightning and water.

Please note that a service/cover charge of 12.5% is automatically added to the total bill.

Favorite Dish: I had the Wild Nok Noodles as my main course which was delicious. This was accompanied by a 'Cockatoo', a non-alcoholic smoothie containing bananas and strawberries.

On past visits I remembered ordering the Bronto Plant Sandwich, Rainforest House Salad and the Volcanic Cobb Salad.
